Tzu Chi Foundation, a registered charity in Canada since 1992, has been continuously serving local communities from coast to coast.
In the Greater Vancouver Area, in partnership with many well-known social service and charity organizations, such as Red Cross, Salvation Army, Greater Vancouver Food Bank, Surrey Food, Lookout Housing and Health Society, and others, volunteers of the Tzu Chi Foundation have dedicated their effort and time to serve and provide assistance to local residents.
For years, Tzu Chi has served the needs of underprivileged students in Greater Vancouver school districts.
Whether it is the Breakfast & Bursary Program under the Blue Sky project or the Book Donation Program, our goal is always to provide help for students who need a better chance to grow up to lead a full life.
We are also helping underprivileged people in Vancouver Downtown East Side and First Nations. Many services and contributions have never before been available offered by Tzu Chi volunteers in these communities.
Tzu Chi Foundation has been in Canada for 26 years, and we would like to offer you a chance to learn about Tzu Chi’s spirit and culture. On May 27th, a formal “Open House” will be held at our Vancouver national headquarters.
You will have a chance to talk to our volunteers and get information about the Foundation’s community service.
You will also have a chance to experience a free Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) consultation and Tui Na which is provided by the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver, the No. 1 TCM college in BC and is owned by Tzu Chi Foundation.
