The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the Vancouver Park Board are once again coming together for the Symphony at Sunset.
Their second annual free, open-air concert at Sunset Beach takes place on Sunday, July 7th, 2019.
Last year’s inaugural event saw more than 14,000 people come out and much of the same is expected this year.
With that in mind, this year’s concert will be conducted by VSO Music Director Otto Tausk with a sunset concert that will include something for everyone, from classical favourites to film score hits.
In addition, there will be an Instrument Fair Zone for children, a marketplace, and several prelude performances by student ensembles and faculty from the School of Music.
Food trucks will be onsite to keep your tastebuds satisfied. Likewise, attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic, a blanket, and low chairs that don’t obstruct the view.
It’s recommended that you walk, cycle or take public transit to Sunset Beach Park. Some parking will be available in the West End.
