Surrey Canada Day 2019 is expected to live up, if not exceed the hype as Western Canada’s largest national celebration.
The city’s annual Canada Day festival takes place on Monday, July 1st at the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre in Cloverdale. The event will be headlined by Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace with support from Bif Naked and feature tons of live music across four stages, including the Kids Stage and new Rodeo Stage.
Surrey Canada Day Activities
This year’s free family-friendly event kicks off at 10:00 a.m. and runs all day through 11:00 p.m.
Saddle up for the newest addition to Surrey Canada Day, the Cloverdale Rodeo Zone! Open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. this area will include country themed activities including games, bull riding, an inflatable corn maze, axe throwing a Summer Market, and live country music performances on the Rodeo Stage – featuring local Canadian Country headliner Dave Hartney.
The 13-hour celebration will also feature a wide array of food trucks, amusement rides, midway games, zipline and interactive activities for all ages.
Some of the popular rides on-site this year include the Zipper, the Spider, the Sizzler, Zero Gravity and much more. Ticket pricing for the amusement rides are as follows:
- Single Ticket for $1.25
- 20 Tickets for $23 ($2 savings)
- 40 Tickets for $45 ($5 savings)
Capping off the celebrations at the end of the day is the popular fireworks show at 10:30 p.m.

To take your Surrey Canada Day experience to the next level, one lucky attendee will win a brand new Honda Civic courtesy of Surrey Honda! The winner will be announced on CTV news at 6:00 p.m. live from the Main Stage.

The Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre is located at 17728 64 Ave, Surrey.
If you plan to drive, free public parking will be available at the Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino (access off of 60th Avenue) and Cloverdale Agriplex (via 62nd Avenue and 176th Street).
Likewise, handicap parking and motorcycle parking will be located at Lot B, off 62nd Avenue (near the Agriplex). Attendees are asked to not park at Cloverdale Crossing (North East corner of 176th and 64th).
TransLink will be operating additional buses to provide service to the King George SkyTrain station after the Fireworks finale. The stop for these buses will be located at 64th Avenue and 176th Street.
Furthermore, SkyTrain service will be extended on Canada Day, with the last train leaving King George Station at 12:38 a.m.

Cyclists riding to the event can take advantage of the bicycle valet who will take care of your bike for free. The valet service will be located near 176 St and 64 Ave. There will also be bike racks at the end of 62A Avenue entrance, beside the RCMP Community Tent
