Nothing says summer quite like ordering grub from a food truck. Now you will have plenty of choices all summer long.

The area near the intersection of Broadway and Granville Street is hosting a regular weekend pop-up food-truck festival. With about 20 different food trucks with varying weekly schedules, the event started on Friday June 4.

The event is called “Thank Granville It’s Food trucks” (TGIF).

This food truck festival will run every Fridays and Saturdays until Labour Day long weekend (Sept.5). The trucks will stay open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on those days.

It is located alongside a park on the northeast corner of nearby 10th Avenue and Fir Street.

What To Eat

The festival organizers will be posting updates on their account of the trucks that are expected over each weekend.

Some popular food trucks already scheduled to appear include: Beavertails, Mom’s Grilled Cheese, Reel Mac and Cheese, Tornado Potato, and Salty’s Lobster Shack. There are also some new ones that will be joining in the mix.
