How could Steveston waterfront views and quaint shops not be the perfect spot for a winter village?
The Richmond village is hosting its annual Christmas event, starting November 21 to December 31.
Here’s some of the adventures you can get up to this holiday season:
Take a Historical Walk
Steveston is steeped in history, but there’s even more to see when you walk through its historical buildings this time around.
The Steveston Museum has an extra sparkle with decked out trees and its Lights in the Park decor.
You can also check out the free Winter Tram, complete with crafts and a visit from Santa.
The Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site will play host to the Festival of Trees, where you can admire the sparkling greenery.
Santa will be around, so you can fill him in on your wish list. You can join him for Breakfast with Santa December 1 or catch him sailing up to Fisherman’s Wharf later that day.
From November 21 on, kids can write letters to Santa at the Steveston Museum.
While you admire the dazzling sites, you can also stop into one of its many shops. Or check out their Christmas Craft Fair November 23 and visit more than 160 stalls on site.
You can also visit a second craft fair December 7, along the Britannia Shipyards’ buildings.
What are you most looking forward to?
