The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is hosting an epic Star Wars concert series this summer.
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back In Concert takes place from Thursday, July 4th – Saturday, July 6th, 2019.
Attendees will be treated to music by the talented composer John Williams as The Empire Strikes Back is being played.
The battle for the galaxy intensifies in this thrilling fifth episode of the unfolding saga. As Imperial Forces launch an all-out attack on the Rebel Alliance, Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) flee to Cloud City where they are captured by Darth Vader.
Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) journeys to the mysterious, marshy planet of Dagobah, where the wise Jedi Master Yoda teaches the young hero the ways of the Force.
Little does Luke know that all his Jedi training will be called upon so soon. A stunning revelation—and a seeming life-or-death duel with Darth Vader— await.
With a career spanning over six decades, Williams has composed some of the most popular, recognizable, and critically acclaimed film scores in cinematic history. This includes those of the Star Wars series, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Superman, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, the Indiana Jones series, the first two Home Alone films, Hook, the first two Jurassic Park films, Schindler’s List, and the first three Harry Potter films.
This 90 minute performance will be one you won’t forget anytime soon.
