Snoop D-O-double-G is making his way to Vancouver this summer—and not just for the munchies.
The BC Lions are bringing rap royalty to BC Place as part of their annual Concert Kickoff, and this year’s pick is next-level iconic. The Doggfather himself will hit the stage Saturday, June 7 ahead of the Lions’ home opener against the Edmonton Elks, and if the past few years are any sign, this night’s gonna be absolutely packed.
Last year saw a massive 53,788 fans turn up for 50 Cent. The year before that? LL Cool J. And before that? OneRepublic. It’s become a yearly tradition to bring in some serious star power, and Lions owner Amar Doman just keeps raising the bar.

“I’m very excited to bring Snoop Dogg, one of the most entertaining and decorated rap performers of all time, to Vancouver to help us begin our 71st season of Lions football,” said Doman. He also called the Concert Kickoff the premier event on Vancouver’s summer sports calendar—and he’s not wrong.
Snoop’s set kicks off at 5:45 p.m., while the football action starts at 7 p.m. And yes, one ticket gets you both. Prices start at $39.25 on Ticketmaster, which is basically a steal to see a living legend and catch a pro football game.
Players were hyped when the news dropped at training camp in Kamloops, and fans clearly are too—the lower bowl is already close to sold out. So if you’re trying to lock in tickets, move fast. Or as Snoop would say, drop it like it’s hot.
