North Vancouver is taking their Christmas celebrations to whole new heights.
A 65 ft. tall ferris wheel, dubbed Sky Wheel on the Pier, is coming to the Shipyards Christmas Market.
It takes place this holiday season on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017.
They’re transforming The Shipyards into a winter wonderland filled with music and twinkling lights. Guests can get a free ride on the ferris wheel, while enjoying the epic waterfront views.
Not to mention, there will be a new winter artisan market in the Pipe Shop.
Other activities include:
- Ornament/lantern making
- Gingerbread decorating
- Storytime tent
- Face painting
- Balloon creations
- Live music
On stage entertainment includes performances by The Beauty Shop Dolls, Windsor Senior Chamber Choir and Seymour Dance School.
Mayor Darrell Mussatto will officially light the City’s Christmas tree at 5:00 p.m. Equally important, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be paying a visit. You can take a picture with Santa from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Don’t leave early, as The Burrard Yacht club will sail by at approximately 7:15 p.m.
Free hot chocolate, coffee and tea, as well as kettle corn and cotton candy will be given to the first 500 people.
