Vancouver’s ultimate outdoor dance party is back, and now it’s here for an entire weekend. After drawing over 6,500 people last year, Public Disco is turning things up with its first-ever two-day free Block Party at Lot 55 on Granville Island.
The Party Returns Bigger Than Ever
Taking place this June 7 and 8, this all-ages, fully licensed event is the official launch of the 2025 Public Disco Summer Block Parties presented by 2 Hoots Hard Iced Tea. Each day offers a different vibe, giving you the chance to pick your groove, or hit both and make a weekend out of it.
Saturday runs from 2pm to 10pm and features a curated lineup by G-Luve that traces the legacy of disco through house, garage, and beyond on the Fizz Mobile Stage. Expect energy and nostalgia from Donna Dada, Tyler Stadius, Innezz, DJ Josephine La Noire and of course, G-Luve.
Sunday shifts into salsa, dembow, guaracha, and Latin tech territory from 2pm to 9pm, curated by Brendocha of Gateo and hosted by Kachonda. Move to the sounds of Escobutt, Daniel Rincón, Binky, Brendocha, Sayo, and Nikki Kush. You can also take part in beginner Salsa and Cumbia dance lessons led by queer-focused instructors from Salseo.
More Than Music
Beyond the music, it’s a full-blown summer experience:
- Fizz Mobile Stage: The spot to catch every DJ set all weekend long.
- Dinosour World: Phillips Brewing will be pouring craft favourites, iOTA non-alc beers, and running a special Dinosour bar and beer sampling station.
- Main Bar: Featuring hard canned cocktails from 2 Hoots, Lonetree, Whiteclaw, Dillon’s, Olé, and more
- Food Trucks: On Sunday, taste Mexican favorites from Los Elotes and Alimentaria Mexicana, and Venezuelan street food from Romero’s Artisan
- Kids Zone: Face painting and a colouring station by Pattern Nation.
With the support of Creative BC, the City of Vancouver, and Granville Island, this event is about building space for connection, movement, and joy for everyone.
