The Port Moody Car Free Day festival is returning this summer and it’s expected to be bigger than ever.
This event will take place on Sunday, August 18th, 2019.
Last year, more than 20,000 people enjoyed Port Moody’s first-ever Car Free Day. The community celebration included over 100 booths presented by local businesses, artisans, and non-profit groups.
The City of Port Moody will close a section of St. Johns Street from Douglas Street to Moody Street from 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. for the event.
Car Free Day History
Each year, car-free days take place across the country in numerous communities. It aims to get people to interact with one another and explore alternative modes of transportation
Vancouver is set to also host their own Car Free Day event with fun for the entire family to take part in.
