Marking the end of summer, North Vancouver’s Shipyards Live brand new summer series will be coming to an end this weekend.
After 16 days of excitement taking place over 8 weekends, guests will get to enjoy live music, artisan vendors, and food trucks one last time.
Here’s What Happens At the Event
The festival takes place every Friday and Saturday. It started Friday July 30, and end with a finale on Saturday, September 18.
The cost for the event is totally free, and festivities will take place throughout the day until 10 pm each night.
The closing weekend will include performances by the Shenanigans, Zoey Leven, and Mom Bop.
Live music will be played throughout the day and will bound to get your feet moving. There will be a variety of styles and genres, including R&B, Soul, Funk, Country, Pop, Jazz, as well as Brazilian Samba.
Many food vendors will also be on site throughout the festival. This includes Hugs Mini Donuts, Rosie’s BBQ and Smokehouse, Mom’s Grilled Cheese, Cannoli King, Cazba Express, Reel Mac & Cheese, and so much more.
In addition, the event will boast a patio pop-up beer garden located at Stanley Park Brewing, and Seaside Provisions Oyster & Bubbles will be hosting a happy hour every Saturday from 3-6pm.
The City of North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan indicated that she’s excited about the event. As it marks the return of normalcy and reconnecting the community.
“It is more important than ever before to find new ways to connect with the community,” said City of North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan. “I think at some point over the past year and a half we’ve all longed for the large social gatherings we couldn’t hold safely during the pandemic. That is why I am so pleased that Shipyards Live is able to launch safely.”
To ensure public safety, the event will comply with the health and safety guidance contained in Stage 3 of British Columbia’s Restart plan.
