On Saturday, July 1st, 2017, join New Westminster in celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday.
From 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., the City of New Westminster is planning a variety of activities. Festivities will initially spill out into Queen’s Park to celebrate this important milestone in Canada’s history.
Planned activities include arts and heritage workshops, community groups presentations and diverse performances that celebrate the story of Canada.
Not to mention, a fireworks display will cap off the day later at 10:00 p.m. on the Downtown Waterfront.
Soak in the display that will light up the skies at the New Westminster Quay and over the mighty Fraser River, between the River Market and the Inn on the Quay.
The fireworks will be put on by the Hyack Festival Association.
All activities throughout the day are free to the public.
