The former First Lady is coming to back to Vancouver.
After speaking at a Greater Vancouver Board of Trade (GVBOT) special event earlier this year, Michelle Obama is bringing her book tour to town.
Sales for her memoir, called Becoming, have topped 3 million and now the former first lady has added four Canadian dates to her book tour.
She’ll be speaking at Rogers Arena on Thursday, March 21st, 2019. Other Canadian stops include Edmonton (March 22), Montreal (May 3) and Toronto (May 4).
This extension of the tour will include 21 events in 2019 across North America and Europe produced by Live Nation, including 11 additional events in the U.S., 4 in Canada, and 6 in Europe.
“I couldn’t be more excited to visit even more cities across the country and around the world,” Mrs. Obama said.
Described as a deeply personal experience, Becoming talks about her roots and how she found her voice, as well as her time in the White House, her public health campaign, and her role as a mother.
The book is published by Crown and will be released in 24 languages.
Not to mention, it sold more copies than any other book published in the United States in 2018, breaking the record in just 15 days.
Tickets for the newly announced North American 2019 dates will go on sale to the general public beginning Saturday, December 15th, at 10:00 a.m. local time at BecomingMichelleObama.com. A limited number of VIP meet and greet packages with the former First Lady will also be available.
