It is a great year for local art lovers as another unique exhibition has landed in Vancouver.
This time you can view some of the masterful art by Michelangelo. For the first time ever, life-sized digital paintings of all 34 frescoes of the Sistine Chapel are on display, providing an up-close and personal experience with the artwork like never before.
Usually only seen by those lucky enough to have travelled to the Vatican in Italy, this exhibit allows you to view each fresco in high-definition.
‘Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition‘ allows you to see one of the world’s most tourist-driven art with a unique perspective.
Visitors can browse each piece and learn about the time it took to create, the story behind it and see the immense amount of detail that lays within the painting itself.
This perspective brings about much admiration for the timeless masterpiece. There are also audio guides available for rent to give you an even more in-depth experience.
Let’s Take A Closer Look Inside
Whether you have seen the Sistine Chapel in person or not, seeing the art in this detail up close is truly a once in a lifetime experience.
The exhibit just started on November 19 and tickets are available online.
