People across metro Vancouver are expected to see a meteor shower take place on Saturday, August 12th, 2017.
With this in mind, a free outdoor gathering is taking place at Aldergrove Regional Park in Abbotsford.
From 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., peer through telescopes and search the night sky for the Perseid meteor shower.
Also enjoy lantern-lit trails and glow-in-the-dark theatre skits.
In addition, there is an option to camp overnight. For this option campers must arrive between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Camping overnight will be free to mark 50 years of regional parks.
Lastly, individuals are once again reminded that campfires, gas camp stoves, briquettes, and generators are not allowed due to the high fire risk.
