Science World’s exhibition, The Science of Ripley’s Believe It Or Not!, is hosting a limited time exhibition of Luke SkyWalker’s original lightsaber used in the first two Star Wars films, A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. At almost 40 years old, it’s still in pristine condition.

Originally constructed from a 1930’s Graflex flash gun camera, the handle still has the logo etched into it today. Ripley Entertainment purchased the lightsaber last June at an auction for almost half a million dollars. They also purchased a 15 foot Millennium Falcon made up of matchsticks, created by artist Patrick Acton.

The item is on display up until March 19th at the TELUS World of Science. Don’t miss your chance to see the timeless relic!
