JFL NorthWest has revealed the first part of its 2019 line up.
Taking place from Thursday, February 14th – Saturday, December 23rd, 2019, the festival promises to deliver larger-than-life laughs as it unites today’s funniest comedy stars.
JFL Northwest 2019 Performers
Gabriel Iglesias – Monday, February, 18 | Queen Elizabeth Theatre | 7:00 p.m.
Spend Family Day with Gabriel Iglesias, one of America’s most successful stand-up comedians who performs to sold-out audiences around the world. Unlike many in the stand-up world, Iglesias’ globally appealing comedy stays mostly clean and his non-controversial material appeals to audiences of all ages and walks of life.
Iglesias has also had the distinct honor of being one of the few to headline and sell-out Madison Square Garden, Staples Center and The Sydney Opera House. Iglesias starred and created Fluffy’s Food Adventures on Fuse TV, and guest starred on ABC’s Modern Family.
Howie Mandel & Friends – Thursday, February, 14 | Orpheum | 7:00 p.m.
Join Howie as he hosts a fun-filled evening of laughs featuring some of the most talented comics in the game. Howie Mandel has remained a constant force in show business for over 30 years. Mandel is executive producer of many shows, including NBC’s Take It All and Howie Do It, TBS’ Deal With It, FOX’s Mobbed and more.
Currently on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Howie, alongside ICM acquired Montreal’s Just For Laughs Group. Mandel will also be next seen hosting the reboot of CNBC’s Deal or New Deal.
Aziz Ansari (Road To Nowhere) – Friday, February, 15 | Queen Elizabeth Theatre | 7:00 p.m., 9:30 p.m.
Comedian, actor, writer, producer and director, Aziz Ansari, got his start in the beloved television series, NBC’s Parks and Recreation. In 2015, he became one of the only headlining comedians to ever sell out New York City’s Madison Square Garden. His two sold-out performances at the legendary arena were filmed for his fourth comedy special, AZIZ ANSARI: LIVE AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, which was released on Netflix in March 2015 to rave reviews.
Ansari has appeared in many critically-acclaimed films, including Columbia Pictures’ This Is The End, Universal Pictures’ Funny People and Get Him To The Greek, and more.
Fred Armisen: Comedy for Musicians but Everyone is Welcome – Saturday, February 16 | Vogue | 9:30 p.m.
Fred Armisen is an actor, comedian, voice artist, screenwriter, producer, singer and musician best recognized as a cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live from 2002 through 2013, which won him a Peabody Award. As co-creator and co-star of IFC’s famed sketch comedy series Portlandia, Armisen was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Armisen’s film career features many small but memorable roles, including characters in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Eurotrip, Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny and many more.
Dave Attell – Thursday, February 14 | Vogue | 9:30 p.m.
Dave Attell is an actor, writer, and stand-up comedian, most widely recognized from his current Bumping Mics tour with fellow comic Jeff Ross, which was filmed as a three-part docuseries for Netflix, released in late 2018. He’s also the host of Comedy Central’s Insomniac with Dave Attell, which has earned him a notable cult following. After breaking out on CBS’ The Late Show with David Letterman in 1993, Attell has since worked as a writer on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, as well as been featured on several HBO comedy specials, his first in 2008 titled Captain Miserable. Attell is praised for his Comedy Central stand up series Dave Attell’s Comedy Underground, as well as his one-hour special Road Work, now streaming on Netflix. With roles in many comedy films, including Universal Pictures’ Funny People and Trainwreck, Dave Attell has also appeared in the HBO series Crashing.
Steve-O: The Bucket List – Sunday, February 17 | Vogue | 9:30 p.m.
Steve-O, (a.k.a. Stephen Glover) was willing to do whatever it took to become famous, so he began to pitch his ridiculous home videos to various film producers. Eventually, his videos made it into the hands of Jackass creator, director and producer, Jeff Tremaine, who was working with the infamous Johnny Knoxville to create a stunt-based reality show, MTV’s Jackass. The rest is history. As a New York Times bestselling author for his memoir Professional Idiot, Steve-O has established himself as a force in the world of stand up. His first hour special, Guilty as Charged aired on Showtime to rave reviews. Steve-O is now performing on his Bucket List Tour, a multi-media comedy experience that includes screening footage of some of his most elusive and outlandish stunts.

Providing a space for comedy lovers to unite, enjoy and connect, the JFL NorthWest Block Party will feature Just For Laughs Gags on the big screen, games, live music, food trucks and maybe some surprise guests.
