Peak of Christmas Grouse Mountain - Things To Do This Weekend

Grouse Mountain is transforming into a Christmas Village this month, complete with a gingerbread village, visits with Santa, and more.

The mountain will be open with events for all ages from November 22 to January 5. But with so much to do, it’s hard to know where to start.

Here are some of the must-do events at this year’s event:

The Light Walk

First off, if you’re on the mountain, you have to enjoy the view. Around the Blue Grouse Lake will be hundred of lights sparkling in an installation that includes a light tunnel and lanterns. It’s the perfect place to, “marvel at the beauty as snow crunches under foot,” says the website.

Santa’s Reindeer

Next door to Santa’s Workshop is the Reindeer Habitat. After you’ve met up with Ole Saint Nick, say hi to his furry companions and look out for a bright red nose among them. You can also learn all about the reindeer through the Ranger Talks at 12 pm and 3 pm at the Habitat.

Sleigh Rides

Pretend you’re Santa himself and enjoy a sleigh ride through the Winter Wonderland. Starting at 9:30 am until 9 pm, you can meet up outside Santa’s Workshop and take the sleigh out for a spin.

Check Out the Entertainment

From November 30 to December 24, there will also be live performances happening at the Chalet in the Atrium. Check their schedule for times to see one of the many music and dance performances.

Outdoor Skating Pond

Of course, none of this is complete without a pair of ice skates on and a hot chocolate in hand. Glide over the ice of this 8,000 square-foot pond, open daily.

Have fun!
