Dare to walk through Fort Langley’s graveyards at night? Grave Tales returns to Fort Langley National Historic Site from Saturday, October 16th – Sunday, November 3rd, 2019.
Join expert storytellers for a two or three hour program of spine-chilling stories as you walk through the village at night. Moreover, you’ll experience walking through graveyards and be in the presence of ghosts.
Running for over 10 years, guides will lead you through Fort Langley’s spooky past with only a candle-lit lantern in their hand. You’ll stop at the Big House in the Fort to discover more of Fort Langley’s untold past.
The experience is so terrifying that the 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. tours are 17+. Brave youth are welcome to join the 6:00 p.m. tour with an adult. The 9:00 p.m. tour is three hours long, while the earlier tours are two hours long.
Still not scared?
Visitors have an option of staying overnight in an oTENTik. They are are approved on a case-by-case basis for the 9:00 p.m. tours and are for $120 + fee.
Inside each tent you get:
- Sleeping area for up to six people
- Table and chairs
- Broom and dustpan
- Cooking equipment, dishes and utensils
- Electricity, heater, mini fridge
Outside the tent you’ll see:
- Shared fire pit and BBQs (includes accessories and propane)
- Firewood available for $6.80/bundle
- Picnic table
- Common service building with toilets and water
- Farm animals to visit (late May to early September)
