Calling all geeks and fans! Geektopia: Vancouver Fan and Comic Convention takes place this summer on Saturday, July 6th, 2019.
This one-day event specializes in all genres of entertainment and fandoms. Whether you’re interested in Anime, Fantasy, Horror or Science fiction, this is the place where you belong. Geektopia is a “community that accepts all, practices tolerance and celebrates diversity”.

- Wrestling Legend Bret “The Hitman” Hart Is Coming To Vancouver
Organizers of the event hope to create opportunities for fans to dive deeper into their cherished genres by holding seminars, panels, open gaming and cosplay events with prizes to stimulate their minds or to further their quest to be a part of the entertainment industry and of course a big vendors market.
From local artists to aspiring actors, from sci-fi geeks to fantasy freaks, there is a place for everyone.
Furthermore, fans of cosplay will have the opportunity to strut their stuff in the Geektoptia Cosplay Competition. Contestants will have the opportunity to model their favourite cosplay and perform in front of Geektopians.
At the final showdown, the winner will be chosen by the audience. There will be two cash prizes handed out. The J.F.F (Just For Fun) category winner gets a cash prize of $150, while the Master Craftsperson category winner walks away with a cash prize of $250.
That’s not all.
A number of special guests will also be at the event, which includes Annette Reilly from The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Tracey Moore, the original voice of Sailor Moon, and many more!
Organizers have partnered up with the Amanda Todd Legacy Society for this convention to help end bullying.
