Westbank has evolved into a cultural practice and this exhibition offers a glimpse into a new and interesting part of our world. In ‘Fight For Beauty’, they attempt to encapsulate the architecture, artistry, design, fashion and city-building initiatives that have come to define their practice.
It will be on display from Saturday, October 7th – Sunday, December 17th, 2017. Fight For Beauty presents public art projects undertaken with world-class creatives.
- Museum of Vancouver presents City on Edge: A Century of Vancouver Activism
- Sip & taste flavours from around the world at Vancouver’s largest Tea Festival
This includes Rodney Graham and Douglas Coupland, architecture from architects who are artists in their own right, fashion by some of the greatest designers in recent history, a custom Fazioli piano designed by an architect to respond to the typology of their building, and more.
Each work demonstrates that a craft practised well is an art form. They hope you enjoy seeing some of what we’re most passionate about at this moment. Furthermore, you’ll be able to experience some of the influences that are leading their practice in new and exciting directions.
Admission is free.
