Creative Community Organizing in Challenging Times 2020

Travel & Outdoors

Community Organizing in Challenging Times is a panel and interactive discussion. It dives into the potential of creative (even radical) solutions to tackling global crises.

This event focuses on the power of civic engagement and community organizing in a time when seemingly unstoppable threats loom large.

That includes the climate crisis, the rise of authoritarianism, political polarization and closing borders.

With the encouragement from a panel of brave and creative speakers, this event aims to leave participants feeling inspired!

This event is hosted in partnership with the BC Council for International Cooperation and Amnesty International. Additionally, ORICE, SFU International, UBC’s Vancouver School of Economics, and the Simon K.Y Lee Global Lounge & Resource Centre have collaborated.

It’s all moderated by Andrea Reimer. Don’t miss it February 5, 2020.
