Massive Sunflower Festival Returns This Summer With Over 5 Acres of Full Blooms

Soak in happiness and sun at this years Chilliwack Sunflower Festival.

With 42 different varieties of sunflowers and 3km of paths to run amongst the blooms, this festival is one for flower lovers to truly enjoy. Not only are there sunflowers but you can also take in the beauty of more than 50 varieties of other flowers as well.

In fact, the Chilliwack sunflower fest will have between 5 to 8 acres in full bloom throughout the season!

Originally opened in 2018, it quickly became a very popular event. Unfortunately it had to scale down in 2020, however they are expecting a full come back this year.

The festival kicks off on Monday, July 26 and will run until Labour Day.

The acreage provides ample opportunities to make memories and take beautiful photos. Charming additions include:

  • a windmill
  • 3 vintage bicycles
  • A 1950s Morris convertible 
  • a horse carriage
  • 7 swing sets
  • 3-wheeled Harley-Davidson motorcycle

Guests will be allowed to participate in “U-pick sunflowers” this year as as well as a field-side store with fresh-cut and potted sunflowers, sunflower seeds and bulbs, souvenirs, ice cream, snacks, drinks, fresh Chilliwack corn, and local garlic.

There will also be a food truck on site, so guests can make a whole day of it.

Admission: Tickets for 1-hour time slots

Time: Thursday - Monday: 8:00a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday - Wednesday: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. (After August 16 closing time is 6:00 p.m.)
