Chilliwack Sunflower Festival 2019

Vancouver Events B.C. Day

Having debuted in 2018, the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival is set to return once again this summer.

Organized by the same group that put together the Tulips of the Valley event, the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival features close to 20 acres of over 35 varieties of sunflowers. This year also features 54 varieties of Dahlias, displayed across 2 acres.

The Sunflower Festival features, among several things, 17 different varieties of flowers for viewers to soak in. Visitors will wander through over three acres of sunflowers and be able to view some plants that reach twelve feet in height.

Likewise, the festival will also have 1.5 acres planted in a cut flower orange variety, which will reach heights between 5 and 6 feet. Their fields are completed with an acre of show garden with 15 different varieties of different heights, colours and bloom sizes for guests to enjoy.

For 2019, the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival will also have a separate u-pick field available for you to purchase your own cut sunflowers to take home! Their flower shop onsite will be fully stocked with fresh-cut sunflowers, potted sunflowers, and tulip/daffodil bulbs.

There’s more.

Visitors will have countless opportunities to take perfect keepsake photos and videos. Throughout the grounds, find swing sets, an operational windmill, a vintage bicycle, and several more selfie-spots.

To combat the warm weather, organizers plan to keep you cool with cold drinks, ice cream, and local food trucks.

The Chilliwack Sunflower Festival is an ode to the summer season, so what better place to enjoy the summer than in a field of sunflowers?
