Monday, February 5

Concert | Hedley

They group announced last year their highly anticipated 2018 arena tour in support of their seventh studio album, Cageless. Hedley opens up the tour in their hometown of Abbotsford, BC, on Monday, February 5th, 2018. Other dates in BC include Victoria (February 6), Prince George (February 8), and Kelowna (March 23).

Skating | Robson Square Ice Rink

The Robson Square Ice Rink is open this weekend and will host free skates daily until Wednesday, February 28th, 2018. Skating is free for all ages. Those who own their own skates are welcome to use them. Skate rentals are $4, and rentals end 30 minutes before closing time. Furthermore, helmets are mandatory for children 12 and under. Robson Square Ice Rink will offer rentals and accept cash only.

Exhibition | The Fabric of Our Land

The Museum of Anthropology (MOA) at UBC with the Musqueam Indian Band present the remarkable new exhibition The Fabric of Our Land: Salish Weaving. It’s on display from Sunday, November 19th – Sunday, April 15th, 2018. Curated by Susan Rowley in collaboration with Salish weavers, this exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the past 200 years of Salish wool weaving.

Riding | Shred For The Cause

Every Monday from January 22nd to March 26th, ladies pay a $15 donation to ski and ride from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. $5 from every lift ticket will be going to The Bloom Group. Normal prices range from $18 – $33.

Exhibition | City on Edge

The Museum of Vancouver (MOV) explores the history of our city’s street protests with City on Edge: A Century of Vancouver Activism. It’s a major, new photo-based exhibition on display until Sunday, February 18th, 2018.

Concert | Katy Perry

The Witness tour has visited over 40 cities before hosting its final two shows in Vancouver. The concerts will take place on Monday, February 5th and Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 inside Rogers Arena.

Comedy | Legally Blonde

Align Entertainment presents the romantic & hilarious Broadway hit, Legally Blonde, the musical adaption of the 2001 blockbuster film.

It plays from Friday, February 2nd – Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at the Michael J Fox Theatre. Join a fabulous cast of local theatre luminaries in this bright and boisterous celebration of beauty that embraces brains.

Bingo | Musical Bingo

VancouverTake part in musical bingo at Railway Stage and Beer Café this Tuesday. The event is 19+ and starts at 7:00 p.m.

Concert | Sleeping With Sirens

American rock band Sleeping With Sirens performs at the Vogue Theatre. Tickets are $34.99.

Concert | Romes

Toronto pop band Romes takes to the stage at Fox Cabaret. Tickets are $13.50.

Wednesday, February 7

Dating | Veg Speed Date

This event helps people find veg love, creating life-changing matches and love stories in the veg community. Veg Speed Date is exclusively for vegan and vegetarian singles. Tickets start at $30.

Exercise | New Year’s Tai Chi Classes

Learn safe and simple movements, basic training, concepts and theory, culminating in the introductory “18-Form” set. These classes take place every Thursday at Coal Harbour Community Centre until March 21st.

Thursday, February 9

Cocktails | Science of Cocktails

Science World will transform into Vancouver’s largest cocktail laboratory this February for an exciting evening. Science of Cocktails takes place on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 from 8:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

At Science of Cocktails, the city’s most talented bartenders and chefs will showcase the chemistry, biology and physics behind preparing modern cocktails and cuisine.

Culture | Discover Pakistan

Discover awe-inspiring scenery, architectural treasures and the world renowned hospitality of modern-day Shangri-La with this unique travel presentation on Pakistan, South Asia’s hidden gem. Admission is free.

Games | BC Game Jam

BC Game Jam at BCITThe BC Game Jam comes to the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) from Friday, February 9th – Sunday, February 11th, 2018. This 48 hour event will see game enthusiasts come together and create games based on a theme provided moments before the start of the event. The competition will last 48 hours and crown the winners on the final day of the event.

Film | International Mountain Film Festival

This year’s festival has an exciting program of local and international outdoor adventure films and world class athletes and speakers. It runs from Friday, February 9th – Saturday, February 17th, 2018.
