Tuesday, February 13
February 13 | Majid Jordan
Canadian R&B duo performs at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets start at $36.
Skating | Robson Square Ice Rink
The Robson Square Ice Rink is open this weekend and will host free skates daily until Wednesday, February 28th, 2018. Skating is free for all ages. Those who own their own skates are welcome to use them. Skate rentals are $4, and rentals end 30 minutes before closing time. Furthermore, helmets are mandatory for children 12 and under. Robson Square Ice Rink will offer rentals and accept cash only.
Exhibition | The Fabric of Our Land
The Museum of Anthropology (MOA) at UBC with the Musqueam Indian Band present the remarkable new exhibition The Fabric of Our Land: Salish Weaving. It’s on display from Sunday, November 19th – Sunday, April 15th, 2018. Curated by Susan Rowley in collaboration with Salish weavers, this exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the past 200 years of Salish wool weaving.
Meditation | Beat the Winter Blues: Meditation Classes
Classes begin with a simple guided breathing meditation followed by a teaching and a concluding contemplative meditation based on the topic. Classes take place at Gordon Neighbourhood House.

The Museum of Vancouver (MOV) explores the history of our city’s street protests with City on Edge: A Century of Vancouver Activism. It’s a major, new photo-based exhibition on display until Sunday, February 18th, 2018.
Comedy | Legally Blonde
Align Entertainment presents the romantic & hilarious Broadway hit, Legally Blonde, the musical adaption of the 2001 blockbuster film.
It plays until Saturday, February 17th, 2018 at the Michael J Fox Theatre. Join a fabulous cast of local theatre luminaries in this bright and boisterous celebration of beauty that embraces brains.
Wednesday, February 14
Love will be in the air at the Valentine’s Day edition of Vancouver Aquarium’s After Hours event on Wednesday, February 14. The evening affair is adults-only, setting the stage for a provocative, sometimes racy, and oftentimes comical exploration of the sex lives of aquatic animals.
Festival | Talking Stick Festival
The Talking Stick Festival’s programming focuses on the diversity of visual arts, dance, theatre, music, pow wow, and film in both traditional and contemporary formats. Tickets start at $5.
Massage | Valentine’s Day Couples Massage Workshop
In this interactive 3-hour workshop, you will learn how to relax and soothe any pain you may have. Tickets are $100 per person.
Crafts | Valentine’s Day Family Fun
Take part in crafts, story time, and much more! Each child will also receive a free book! Admission is free.
Movie | La La Land
This movie musical tells the story of a pianist and an actress who fall in love while attempting to reconcile their aspirations for the future. See it at the Vancity Theatre at 3:30 p.m.

Dance | Burlesque Duos
Following last year’s sold out show, the highly-anticipated Burlesque Duos returns to the Rio’s stage this week on Wednesday, February 14th. The Vancouver Canucks host the Florida Panthers at Rogers Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Friday, February 16
Lanterns | Lanterns In The Garden
Vancouver’s Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is hosting Lanterns in the Garden for three weekends beginning this Friday.
Guests will go back in time to enjoy an authentic and traditional Yuanxiao festival. It marks the end of the New Year celebrations and also the first full moon day in the Lunar Calendar, which symbolizes the coming spring. The festival started since more than 2000 years ago and had become a festival with significance.
Space | Enchantment Under the Stars
Spend an enchanted evening enjoying live music, a little bit of science, catered appetizers and a specially created cosmic cocktails as the Space Centre transforms the Planetarium Star Theatre into a starry soirée.
Art | Threshold Exhibition
Eight individual artists explore paint, sculpture, installation, photography, and video. See it at Icebox Gallery from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
