Environment Canada has announced a rainfall warning in effect for metro Vancouver and Howe Sound, warning residents heavy rain throughout Tuesday, March 1.
According to the announcement, 50 mm of rainfall can be expected over the North Shore and Howe Sound by Wednesday morning as a frontal system and associated low centre track across the south coast today and tonight.
Heavy downpours can lead to flash floods and water pooling on roads so drivers are advised to be aware and slow down.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
