Social Medium, a new event featuring local DJs and other electronic music-makers is coming to New West. The launch event will take place on 28th January, and subsequent installments will be on a quarterly basis.

The organizers’ aim (according to the event description) is “to bring together people to socialize, and connect with one another through a shared passion for electronic music.”

Social Medium Vol. 1 will be held at Old Crow Coffee Co. — a fantastic local space and home to various events, including an excellent open mic night.

Brought to you by the minds behind Pecha Kucha New West (a TED-like event with a strict 20-slide format), this event is sure to have a great atmosphere. In addition to Old Crow’s delicious coffee, there will also be local beer available for the evening. If that’s not enough to persuade you, it’s also FREE!
