Earlier this year we reported Vancouver would be receiving its first Trump Branded tower on West Georgia Street as the Holborn Group relaunched their twisting tower concept high rise.
Fast forward four mounths: The Donald will be touching down his $100M 757 plane in Vancouver on Wednesday June 19th as he, Donald Trump Jr. Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump, along with Holborn Properties CEO Joo Kim Tiah and George Wong of Magnum Projects will officially announce and celebrate the launch of Holborn, TA Global and the Trump Organization’s new project.
The project was originally planned prior to the global economic meltdown with expectancies to sell the condos at the price of an arm and a leg. However post-recession the developer has decided to sell the 290 units at a lower price than what was anticipated before.
Much like their Toronto high-rise, Trump is not investing in the Vancouver tower, he’s simply selling the Trump brand name to the developer, but he claims that he looks forward to exploring the potential Vancouver has.
