Calling all foodies! The highly-anticipated festival is back for yet another delicious season of eating. Dine Out Vancouver 2018 has officially announced the restaurants that will be participating in this years event.

The 16th annual festival will kick off on January 19th and run until February 4th. Dine Out Vancouver is Canada’s largest annual celebration of food and drink. This year will be the biggest yet, with over 300 restaurants participating in the festivities.

How it works:

Participating restaurants create fresh and innovative dishes for a specialized 3-course menu during the festival. Prix fixe menus are available at the following price points; $20, $30 and $40. Many will also have BC wine pairings available with the meal for an additional cost.

Participating restaurants:

With a whopping 307 restaurants set to present their creations during the festival—there will be something for everyone. There will be new restaurants like Spade, Crowbar, Fayuca and old favourites including Vij’s, L’AbbattoirForage and Wildebeest. Check out the full list of restaurants here.

Unique events:

There will be special events held throughout the festival like a craft beer and food tour, grand tastings, pop-up cafés, the best of Granville Island tour and much more. Check out the Dine Out Grand Tasting at the Orpheum Theatre or the Brewmaster’s Dinner at Big Rock Urban Brewery. The popular TWG Tea will also be hosting the Art of Tea Gastronomy.

Appetizers: choose from buttermilk biscuits or corn chicken fritters. Entrees: choose from fried chicken or cornbread mac-and-cheese. Desserts: dark chocolate and peanut butter tart.

The Lamplighter Public House

Appetizers: choose between cauliflower and brie soup or avocado and sesame slaw. Entrees: choose from a brisket cavatappi, spicy lamb shepherd’s pie or yam falafel bowl. Desserts: choose between chocolate praline bar or coconut panna cotta.

Afghan Horsemen Restaurant

Appetizers: choose from lamb and beef dumplings, potato boulany or lentil dip. Entrees: choose from chicken or lamb korma, lamb shoulder or chicken kebab. Desserts: milk pudding with cardamom spice and topped off with pistachios.

Tap Shack (Coal Harbour location)

Appetizers: choose from mushroom soup, side green salad or white cheddar popcorn. Entrees: Choose from Philly cheesesteak beef dip, Thai red curry or a blackened shrimp Caesar salad. Desserts: Choose between a cheesecake mousse or chocolate cake.

The Fish Shack

Appetizers: choose from a Caesar salad, shrimp bisque or lobster mac-and-cheese balls. Entrees: Choose from a taco duo, seared Ahi tuna, or their signature small catch (crab, chorizo, mussels, clams). Desserts: sticky toffee pudding.

Appetizers: get your drink on with white or red wine or a refreshing mint lemonade. Entrees: choose from falafel, vegan sausage dish, shawarma, fried eggplant, crispy fried cauliflower, smoked tofu and more. Desserts: choose from two different kinds of Baklava.

Avocado Bay

Appetizers: choose between a beetroot cured salmon carpaccio or a cauliflower Portobello ceviche. Entrees: choose fish tacos or grilled cauliflower and chayote. Dessert: choose avocado and feta churro bites, avocado cheesecake or avocado panna cotta.

Brix & Mortar

Appetizer: celeriac and pear soup. Entrée: wild local sockeye salmon with prawn and fennel risotto. Dessert: vanilla bear panna cotta with sour cherry compote.

Fable Kitchen

Appetizers: choose between chickpea fritters or a beet salad. Entrees: choose from pan seared ling cod, gnocchi or Morrocan lamb. Desserts: choose between chocolate panna cotta or squash cake.

Hapa Izakaya (Yaletown)

Appetizers: choose between miso salmon tartare, chicken salad or mushroom soba salad. Entrees: choose from octopus tempura, pork belly or tofu. Desserts: instead of something sweet, they offer another savoury dish like beef oden, miso saba and a Japanese pumpkin gnocchi.

Appetizers: choose from pumpkin soup, Brussels sprouts, kale or beet salad. Entrees: Choose from beer-battered Halloumi cheese with zucchini and potato pancake, Kimchi rice with fried cauliflower, corn and carrot grits with Burdock jus or cavatelli pasta with salted ricotta cheese. Desserts: Choose from lemon cashew cheesecake, pistachio and rose dusted apple beignets or a chocolate and grand fir mousse.

Black + Blue

Appetizers: choose from wild mushroom soup, kale Caesar salad or roasted pork shoulder. Entrees: choose from slow-roasted striploin, tuna loin, or grilled tofu. Dessert: black forest cake with a dark chocolate mousse, cherries and topped off with white chocolate shavings.

Dockside Restaurant

Appetizers: choose from herb gnocchi, warm kale salad or a fruit and nut board. Entrees: choose from gorgonzola pachetti, roasted prime rib or grilled vegetable terrine. Desserts: choose from tiramisu or apple frangipane.


Appetizers: choose from lemon parmesan salad, chicken rillettes, or humbolt squid. Entrees: choose from pan seared trout, lamb shoulder or eggplant. Desserts: choose between cream puff lemon curd meringue or vegan chocolate pudding with cookies and hibiscus jam.

CinCin Ristorante

Appetizers: choose from fire roasted parsnip soup, crunchy vegetable salad or wood grilled prawns. Entrees: choose from beef striploin, arctic char, braised beef or winter squash risotto. Desserts: choose from mascarpone panna cotta, lemon curd or warm chocolate cake with salted caramel sauce and apples.
