Everyone’s favourite foulmouthed anti-hero is back in action.

Deadpool was the most successful R-rated movie of all time, so it makes sense that a sequel would follow.

It’s releasing May of this year, and a trailer just came out that features Vancouver’s very own streets. A Vancouver born actor (Ryan Reynolds, aka Vancityreynolds) as the lead with the city shown throughout the movie? Truly a bout of hometown pride.

The movie was shot in Vancouver from June 26th to October 6th of 2017, with several streets being closed down for a number of days due to filming. Some of the streets that were shut down included West Hastings, Thurlow, Cambie, West Cordova and West Pender.

The trailer gives the audience a glimpse at several action sequences happening on streets such as West Hastings, Burrard, and others.

The official release date is May 18th, 2018. Mark your calendar for the return of your favourite merc with a mouth!
