Soccer fans! You’re in for a treat!
On Wednesday, May 29, BC Place will host the second leg of the ACC Final in which our hometown Vancouver Whitecaps will once again go head to head with the Montreal Impact (Whitecaps and Impact drew 0-0 in the first leg in Montreal.)
The Amway Canadian Championship is a tournament that was developed among the top professional soccer teams in Canada. The winning team is awarded the coveted Voyageurs Cup which not only sees them named Canadian champions, but also acts as their ticket into the CONCACAF Champions League.
This competition involves the top 24 clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The winner of that tournament then qualifies as the representative for the annual FIFA Club World Cup, allowing them to compete against the world’s best teams from every region.
