In its continuous effort of becoming the greenest city in the world by 2020, the City of Vancouver is doing more than just adding bike lanes.

The city plans to grow our urban forest and plant 150,000 trees by 2020. To get things going (and growing), the Vancouver Park Board is hosting Tree Week from April 2 – 10, 2016, and will sell trees for $10 each.

There will be a wide variety of trees on sale, including conifer, shade, flowering, and fruit to name a few. Don’t know what to get? The city has you covered with a special ‘#TreeRelationship quiz’ to help you find a perfect match.

Those interested can attend one of two sales:

  • Saturday, April 2 at Hillcrest Community Centre, 1:00pm – 4:00pm
  • Sunday, April 10 at Trout Lake Community Centre, 12:00pm – 3:00pm

Trees are also available online in advance. For more details, click here.
