Canadian Hockey Legend Gordie Howe Passes Away At 88

Canadian hockey legend Gordie Howe has passed away at the age of 88.

Howe, most commonly referred to as Mr. Hockey, died early Friday morning inside his Ohio home.

Mr. Hockey played over 26 seasons in the NHL with an additional six in the WHA. He won the Stanley Cup four times throughout his career and six Art Ross Trophies as the league’s leading scorer.

But that wasn’t all, Howe also won six Hart Trophies throughout his career as the NHL’s most valuable player.

Gordie Howe was later inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame in 1972.

The Saskatchewan native continues to hold the record for most games and seasons played in the NHL.

The legend spent 25 years of his career with the Detroit Red Wings, whom were one of many hundreds in the NHL saddened by the news.
