On Wednesday, Burnaby RCMP, alongside the New Westminster Police Department Traffic Unit, conducted a joint commercial vehicle check.
In total, 21 inspections were conducted, while 12 commercial vehicles were identified as unsafe to continue and removed from the roadway.

Officers handed out 25 violation tickets and 25 mechanical defects were identified during the road check.
During a separate incident in Delta, police fined a truck driver over $1,300 for driving without any insurance.
