Beer Will Now Be Served On Vancouver Golf Courses

Good news golfers!

Coming shortly, you will be able to crack open a cold one on Vancouver’s public golf courses!

City council granted permission to Langara, McCleery, and Fraserview golf courses to hold primary liquor licenses. These 18 hole courses will be given permission to have one beverage cart for every 9 holes.

Aside from selling beers and coolers, the carts will also be equipped with non-alcoholic beverages and snacks between the hours of 11 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Golfers occasionally snuck beer onto golf courses anyways especially during the warm months of summer to just kick back and relax. At first this was a problem for the course management, but they have now successfully turned it into a solution to collect extra revenue and compete with the other Vancouver golf courses.

I’m sure the more serious golfers aren’t too thrilled about the idea, but it’s a compelling plus for average people who play recreationally.
