A reporter at KTVA-TV in Alaska quit her job in a very unusual way after revealing herself as the owner of a medical marijuana business on the Sunday 10 p.m. live newscast
Charlo Greene announced she was the owner of Alaska Cannabis Club on live television right after she concluded a story involving them. But she wasn’t finished there.
Right after Greene dropped that f-bomb, she said: “F— it. I quit,” and walked off camera.
The show immediately turned back to the the anchor, who was caught off guard and left speechless.
Within thirty minutes, Greene’s author page on the KTVA website was erased. KTVA tweeted an apology:
“Viewers, we sincerely apologize for the inappropriate language used by a KTVA reporter on the air tonight. The employee has been terminated.”
Alaska is set to vote on legalizing recreational marijuana use later this year.
