Get those cameras ready.

The blossoming Abbotsford Tulip Festival is set to open for the season today. It’ll definitely brighten up the Fraser Valley with a sea of reds, purples, pinks and more.

The Abbotsford Tulip Festival is an hour drive away from Vancouver and will give you the ultimate backdrop for those Instagram posts.

You may have seen photos online but experiencing this beautiful display of colours in person is something no photo can never fully capture.

In peak bloom, there is upwards of 1.5-million tulips to bask in. Moreover, there’s even a “U-Pick” area to take some of the beautiful flowers home with you.

Abbotsford Tulip Festival History

The farm began back in 1974 when Peter Warmerdam and his family purchased the land and grew gladiolus, tulips, daffodils and peonies. However, it was his granddaughter’s idea to create fields of only tulips where people could wander through and soak up the vibrant display of colour.

Don’t miss out on this Fraser Valley gem!
