Burning Hearts Soul Club – Halloween Edition
This monthly event at the Astoria is usually a night comprised of Soul, but this weekend the club will be offering something extra special. Join the party’s usual DJ’s, who will be adding “a few spooky soul records,” into the mix. Costumes are optional, but there will be a prize for best ’60’s, Motown style costumes. Entry is $9

HalloWeird
With this party, it’s all in the name. Just a walk down from the Astoria Halloween party is the Waldorf. Saturday will feature a night of DJ’s, each playing their own tracks in three separate rooms.
When: Saturday, Oct. 26. 9 pm Where: The Waldorf, 1489 E Hastings St, Vancouver
The Reprehensible Drag Ball
Opt for something different this year and join in on a night of Drag. The London Pub is hosting a ball, where everyone is encouraged to dress in drag. There are three categories, with $100 prizes in each one. The categories are: Face Snatched, Get of B*tch and Reprehensible Garbage. Check the Facebook page for details on what that even means. Tickets are $5.

Ricecake: Oni Girl Halloween
This is Vancouver’s only queer and Asian dance party. Ricecake: Oni Girl is a semi-regular event, and this time they are hosting their own Halloween party. With 3 DJs, 3 gogo dancers and 5 performers, this is sure to be a party you won’t regret going to. “Ricecake is a safe, inclusive space for queer and trans people of colour, open to friends and allies,” the event page states.
When: Saturday, Oct. 26. 9 pm Where: The Clubhouse, 238 East 1 Ave, Vancouver
Pier Pressure Titanic Masquerade – Vancouver Halloween Yacht Party
Check out Canada’s biggest yacht party this Halloween. On Saturday, you can join the four-hour cruise and be part of the masquerade party. Let’s just hope this party doesn’t have the same fate as the actual Titanic.
