Pumpkin patch | Bose Corn Maze And Pumpkin Patch 2017

weekendThe Bose Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is open this week until Monday, October 9th, 2017. In 1999, the Bose family added a corn maze and pumpkin patch to their commercial farm to provide a hands-on, agricultural experience for the public – at affordable prices! Open rain or shine, guests are encouraged to wear boots as they make their way throughout the maze. Equally important, it’s important to bring a flashlight, phone light, or a headlamp as the days continue to get shorter.

Theatre | 13: The Musical

Bring On Tomorrow Co. presents the hilarious and clever coming-of-age comedy, 13: The Musical. It plays from Thursday, Sept. 28th – Sunday, October 1st and Wednesday, October 4th – Sunday, October 8th, 2017 at the Waterfront Theatre. Yanked from his New York City life after his parents’ divorce, 12-year-old Evan Goldman has a lot going on.

Art | Intangible

Museum of VancouverFeaturing previously crafted, and never-before-seen creations, Intangible spotlights six trailblazing Coast Salish artists influenced by tradition as well as contemporary inspiration.

Display | City On Edge

The Museum of Vancouver (MOV) explores the history of our city’s street protests with City on Edge: A Century of Vancouver Activism. It’s a major, new photo-based exhibition on display from Thursday, September 28th – Sunday, February 18th, 2018.

Film | Vancouver International Film Festival

Featuring more than 200 features and 100 shorts, VIFF 2017 will be a showcase of the world’s most exceptional filmmaking. After the successful launch of its new programming streams at the 2016 festival, this year’s VIFF will continue to expand the frame and offer a Films+ model. This sees the festival’s 450 screenings complemented by talks, workshops, performances and other unique events.

Beer | Mackin House Beer Tasting 2017

Join Mackin House this week for an exclusive evening of tapas and beer, featuring Coquitlam’s only brewery: Mariner Brewing. The event takes place on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017. After a quick tour of the exhibit with a focus on Prohibition times, Mariner Brewing will offer a sampling of beer from their new brewery and offer exclusive insight into the beer-making process.

Lip sync | Toads Got Talent

Every Tuesday night from September 19th – October 31st, 2017, contestants will get on stage and lip sync some fantastic tunes. Each week a contestant will be awarded $250 and a pass to the grand finale for a chance to win $1000.


Autumn festival | Mid Autumn Moon Cake and Chinese Dance Demonstration

Join Mackin House once again as Jessica Yue preforms a traditional Chinese dance and teaches you the dance as well. She’ll also be showing you how to make a moon cake. All ages welcome for this family friendly event all in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Registration is required as space will be limited.

Corn maze | Chilliwack Corn Maze And Pumpkin Farm

Enjoy making your way through a corn maze? Perhaps picking out a pumpkin for Halloween? There’s a spot in Chilliwack that allows you to do both. The Chilliwack Corn Maze and Pumpkin Farm is open for the season until Tuesday, October 31st, 2017. It features a 12 acre maze that can be a challenge to get through. As guests make their way through the maze, it becomes an interactive experience to say the least.

Fundraiser | Nature’s Path Eat Well Do Good Foodraiser

The annual Nature’s Path Eat Well Do Good Foodraiser is happening on Thursday, October 5th, 2017. It happens at the Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza (facing Georgia Street) between 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. This pop-up organic marketplace and café will be offering delicious coffee, grab-and-go breakfast and lunch bags, and fresh produce, all supplied by local and organic companies.

Comedy | Nick Offerman

Comedian Nick Offerman is bringing his highly successful Full Bush solo stand-up show to Vancouver on Thursday, October 5th, 2017. He will be performing at the Orpheum Theatre from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Offerman is returning with a collection of his sawdusty musings on survival in the wild. Not to mention, the cultivation of fulsome body hair.

Oktoberfest | Harvest Haus

Celebrate Oktoberfest with Harvest Haus from Thursday, October 5th – Saturday, October 14th, 2017. Back for its 4th year, it will take place at Sole Food Street Farms (88 Pacific Boulevard), next to BC Place. An assortment of events, and of course, beer are once again in the schedule.

Starboy can’t get enough of Vancouver! He will be back at Rogers Arena on Thursday, October 5th, 2017. He recently visited Vancouver on April 25th, performing to a loud and energetic crowd. Tickets start at $40.

Haunted tour | Haunted Vancouver Trolley Tour

Dare to see Vancouver’s hidden secrets? Haunted Vancouver Trolley Tour is back for another spooky experience from Friday, October 6th – Tuesday, October 31st, 2017. Put on by the Vancouver Trolley Company and Vancouver Police Museum, people on board the trolleys will hear about the city’s murderous tales and infamous ghost stories. Tickets are $40.

Thrills | Fright Nights At Playland

Fright Nights is presenting a new haunted house, The Bloodshed. The dilapidated Bloodshed cabin is home to a family of ruthless mutant murders, and promises to be the goriest haunted attraction at this year’s Fright Nights. Fear clowns? Guests can attempt to overcome their fear of clowns inside the Car-N-Evil haunted house. Tickets range from $22-$85.

October 8 | Imagine Dragons

Imagine Dragons bring their Evolve Tour to Rogers Arena on Sunday, October 8th, 2017. The show will start at 7:30 p.m. From Las Vegas, Nevada, the group is composed of lead vocalist Dan Reynolds, lead guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist and keyboardist Ben McKee, and drummer Daniel Platzman.

October 11 | Ms. Lauryn Hill & Nas

Grammy Award-winner Lauryn Hill and anthemic rapper Nas are coming to Vancouver on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017 to perform at the Pacific Coliseum. The co-headlining tour will see the two joined by Chronixx on stage. Multi-platinum artist Ms. Lauryn Hill rose to fame as the lone female member of The Fugees, one of the biggest selling R&B acts around the world.

October 12 | Vancouver Halloween Parade And Expo

Over the course of four days, you’ll enjoy arts, performances, cosplay, films, comics, anime, games, makeup, and much more. From Thursday – Sunday, all activities will take place at UBC Robson Square. You’ll find everything set up underneath the glass roof. The parade will conclude the expo on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. It will start on Howe Street (Drake to Smithe), making its way to Granville Street (Smithe to Davie).

October 13 | Grave Tales

Grave Tales returns to Fort Langley National Historic Site from Friday, October 13th – Monday, October 30th, 2017. Join expert storytellers for a two- or three-hour program of spine-chilling stories as you walk through the village at night. Moreover, you’ll experience walking through graveyards and be in the presence of ghosts.

October 13 | Stanley Park Halloween Ghost Train

Be prepared to discover out-of-this-world creatures and to be abducted during the 14 minute train ride.

October 14 | Free Movies at Cineplex

Moviegoers are going to want to mark this date down! Cineplex is offering free movies in celebration of Cineplex Community Day on Saturday, October 14th, 2017. Based on past years, guests can expect to have their choice from five free movies. Not to mention, you can get popcorn, drinks, and candy for just $2.50.

October 14 | Nightmare Before Christmas Market

The one day market will take place on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m and promises to offer something for everyone to enjoy. Expect a diverse lineup of vendors showcasing fashion, art, food, and much more. Vendors will be announced at a later date. Applications to become one are open until Saturday, September 23rd, 2017.
