10 Things to Do and Eat at the PNE 2014

If you’re wondering what there is to check out at this year’s PNE look no further. Here are ten things to do and eat at the PNE.


Game of Thrones: The Exhibition – If you’re into Game of Thrones, this event is for you. This exhibit will take you right to the world of Westros. Check out artefacts from all four seasons, including costumes, props, weapons, crowns, and take your picture on the iron throne. This exhibit runs daily from 11:00am until 10:00pm at the Garden Auditorium. Guests aged 18 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.


Mystic India – Travel through Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Gurjarat with this show featuring dancers, musicians, and acrobats. Mystic India runs from August 26 through September 1 at 3:30pm and 7:30pm at the Pacific Coliseum.


Rib Festival Competition – Check out the Fourth Annual Vancouver Rib Festival Competition and vote for your favourite. Four teams will do their best to win your vote by serving some of the best barbeque ribs, brisket, and pulled pork.


Jigu! Thunder Drums of China – Watch as traditional and modern elements come together in this spectacular show of drummers, percussionists, and musicians.


Lottery Prize Home – A classic at the PNE, this year’s prize home is a $1.3million Kelowna home designed by celebrity interior designer Jillian Harris. Tickets are $25 for five, so make sure to get yours so you have a chance to win!



Wiggle Chips serves potato chips on a stick, as well as tater tots and hot potato chips. Just add your favourite seasonings – choose from dill, cheddar cheese, garlic, salt and vinegar, and many more.


Curry in a Hurry serves a wide selection of delicious items such as chicken, lamb curry, butter chicken, vegetable pakoras, roti, and mixed vegetables.


La Poutinerie Poutine has everything from simple gravy and fries to breakfast poutine and shepherd’s pie poutine.


When Mac Met Cheese serves gourmet macaroni and cheese made from scratch. You have to try these new creations: Slumdog Millionaire, The Breakfast Club, or Godzilla.


At Pub Grub they serve everybody’s favourite pub food such as chicken strips and fries, poutine, jalapeno poppers, and much more.
