‘Charmed’ Series Reboot To Be Filmed In Vancouver This Spring

Our favourite 90’s power trio are getting reincarnated this year.

Charmed is getting a reboot on the CW, with a LGBTQ twist – one of the three sisters explore their sexuality as well as their magical powers.

Modern with a juxtaposition of old and new, the ‘new’ Charmed will be perfect for those who love anything spooky.

The original Charmed series consisted of a trio of sisters, who were ‘the Charmed Ones’,  who discover that they’re witches, and use their powers for to protect society from evil spirits and beings. It lasted on a high note for eight seasons until 2006.

The cast will be entirely new, following the same style of alliteration the original sisters had. Instead of Piper, Paige, Phoebe, and Prue, this time it’ll be Macy, Mel, and Madison. The new series will be set in present day.

There has been some controversy over the fact that the original series is being remade, partly because nothing will compare to the real thing and partly because it’s a whole new cast.

It’ll be aired by the CW network, and written by the same duo who wrote Jane the Virgin, Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin. They’ve described it as a “fierce, funny, feminist reboot.”

Filming in Vancouver will happen from March 19th to April 4th, 2018.
