Two men have now been convicted for harassing wildlife after a moose riding incident took place on Tuchodi Lakes in 2014.

The YouTube clip shows a motorboat chasing down the moose, while one of the men jumped on its back and rode it while it tried to swim away.

The moose clearly seemed to be in distress and the video went viral, sparking outrage on social media.

After a year-long investigation, Fort St. John’s Jaysun Allan Pinkerton and Bradley Dale Crook are now being faced with a $4,000 fine each.

Also, $2,000 of each will go towards the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation.
