This BC Ferries Vessel Could Be Yours For $400,000

Have you ever wanted to own a ferry?

A BC Ferries vessel is selling for less than the cost of a typical Vancouver condo.

The 1965 Queen of Burnaby is a 904-capacity ferry that is up for auction, with the bidding starting at 400K. It will be available for possession in April 2017.

It is being replaced by a newer vessel that will run on liquid natural gas, a first of its kind in BC.

BC Ferry Queen of Burnaby 

The ship is equipped with a cafeteria, gift shop, lounge areas and a kids’ zone.

The Victoria-built vessel makes approximately 54 sailings a week, which is about 918 nautical miles.

According to the listing, all equipment is maintained to acceptable industry standards on an ongoing basis. In addition, it will continue to be maintained as required . The vessel is currently in-service and in compliance with all necessary regulatory requirements.
