Japan Unlayered will be taking over the Fairmont Pacific Rim!
From January 27th to February 28th, the exhibition will take over Vancouver by celebrating contemporary Japanese architecture, design and culture.
Japan Unlayered will allow for visitors to ignite their senses by experiencing Japanese culture through touch, taste, sight, sound and smell.
Master Japanese architect Kengo Kuma (alongside developers/owners of the Fairmont Pacific Rim, Westbank and Peterson) will showcase Japanese traditions and contemporary design.
Although the exhibition will have a large focus on design, part of the event will include an exclusive MUJI “pop-up” pavilion, featuring the brand’s signatures products. Items will be available for sale, so be sure to come with some cash if you’re looking to buy one of MUJI’s innovative household products.
MUJI does not have a storefront in Canada at the moment; however, the popular website boasts everything from home decor to apparel, and even food products.
Additional details regarding the pop-up and exhibition will be released on the event website closer to the exhibition opening date.
