5 Train Attractions To Check Out This Holiday Season

Nothing will get you quite in the Christmas spirit like a festive train ride. Check out one of these train attractions in BC this holiday season.

Bright Nights Christmas Train

A classic Christmas tradition among Vancouverites. Head to Stanley Park to ride on the Bright Nights Train to experience the twinkling lights, festive displays and live performers along the way. Cost is $12 for adults and $9 for youth. A matinee train is $6 for all ages.

Art Knapp Christmas Train 

There will be a charming Christmas train traveling through a magical tunnel of sparkling lights and holiday displays. Check it out at the Art Knapp in Port Coquitlam, located at 1300 Dominion Avenue. Cost is $4 per person.

CP Holiday Train

The CP holiday train will be rolling into BC this holiday season. It will make stops at plenty of locations across the Lower Mainland this month. It’s free to check out, but donations are encouraged. This event has passed, check out 19 dazzling photos from the train’s visit.

Bear Creek Park Train 

A special Christmas train will be available at Bear Creek Park in Surrey this month. The train takes guests on a fun ride through a magical forest. It costs $10/per person.

Polar Express Squamish

Hop aboard the Polar Express in Squamish (just like in the movie!) This is an experience for those who truly believe in the magic of Christmas. Located at West Coast Railway Heritage Park, the train will take guests on a one-hour journey complete with festive treats, hot chocolate, stories and Christmas carols. Tickets cost $49.
