Simon Fraser University has closed all three campuses and cancelled exams until further notice from 3:30 pm onwards on Friday, December 9.

The announcement follows today’s snowfall, which has increased concerns related to road conditions.

According to a press release, Students writing exams that start at 3:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. today at Burnaby, Vancouver or Surrey campuses should not make their way to any SFU campus. Their exams will be rescheduled.

Staff at all three campuses who are not critical to core operations or to complete the current exams (ending at 3 p.m.) are being asked to check in with their supervisors and leave their campus.

For further updates, students and staff are asked to follow the road and traffic report link on the SFU homepage.
