Free Cake Samples When Guildford Mall Attempts World Record

As part of Guildford Town Mall’s 50th Anniversary celebration, Saint Germain Bakery is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the largest carrot cake.

The best part about the whole bake-off? Shoppers get a free piece of cake!

And the first 1,000 guests to enjoy a free slice will also receive a Scratch & Win card for a 1 in 5 chance to win a Guildford Town Centre gift card or the Grand Prize of $1,000 towards a jewelry store of their choice.

Guildford’s record-breaking cake will be 20 ft. X 20 ft, over 5,000 pounds, and will roughly yield about 22,000 servings.

Just how many carrots will be required for such a massive cake? Around 8,000! Plus 4,300 eggs, 2,500 cups of flour, and 1,650 cups of sugar – along with large portions of vegetable oil, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, pineapple and coconut, too.

Make sure to get down to Guildford Mall at 12pm today to join in on the carrot cake madness!
