April 19 was the opening night of Eco Fashion Week. The event took place at the Fairmont Waterfront. The night started at 7pm, and featured the H&M Canada Conscious Collection.
Vancouver’s fashion elite attended the event, with wine, beer and appetizers. Everyone mingled and awed the collection. Models walked around the venue in the designs, posing for photos.
The H&M conscious collection has seven commitments. These include, providing fashion for conscious consumers, choose and reward responsible partners, be ethical, be climate smart, reduce, reuse, recycle, use natural resources responsibly and lastly, strengthen communities. The designs included organic materials and a balance between a soft colour palette, with a few bold pieces. If you wish to shop the collection, it is available at over 200 H&M stores.
Eco Fashion Week continues until April 24, featuring eco conscious designers and panel talks. EFW will end off with a fashion film shown at Vancouver International Film Festival, Hand Made With Love in Paris, at Vancity Theatre.
If you wish to go to Eco Fashion Week, tickets are still available online.
