For many, it’s back to school in a few weeks. If you’re going to UBC you might be looking for some cheap places to eat, especially after paying for all your textbooks. Check out a few of these places at and near the UBC campus.
The Delly is located at 6138 Student Union Blvd. If you hit up The Delly after 3pm on a Friday, everything is marked down 50%. They serve hot items such as samosas, wraps, and sausage rolls – all for just $1.50! Make sure to get there early, as most items are sold out by 6:00.
Pearl Fever Tea House is located at 2182 Western Parkway. Most people agree that Pearl Fever Tea House serves some of the best bubble tea in town. Make sure to stop by their UBC location for a quick drink after class.
The Gallery is located at 2090 East Mall. Get a great meal for under $10! They serve wraps, sandwiches, soups, chillis and stews, curries, and breakfast. The Gallery is great if you want to hang with your friends after a long day of classes. They also offer live music, karaoke, and DJ nights.
The Moon is located at 6138 Student Union Blvd. Their soups cost as low as $2.50 a bowl. Drop by in between classes for a $5 combo of any one item from the steam table, plus your choice of rice or noodles.
The Pit Pub is located at 6138 Student Union Blvd. For only $3.95 get a deluxe hamburger or grab a classic poutine for only $4.50. Quality food under $5 doesn’t get any better.

The Diner is located at 4556 West 10th Avenue.
Dentry’s Irish Grill is located at 4450 West 10th Avenue, just a few minutes from the UBC campus. Stop by on Wednesdays for 36 cent wings!
Some Kinda Pasta is located at 4409 West 10th Avenue. Their small plates go for as low as $6. For under $10 you can get pork skewers with tzatziki.
Sun Sushi is located at 4512 West 10th Avenue. Grab a couple of sushi rolls with your friends after a long day of lectures for under $10!
